Do you wake up in the morning and don't know what to wear? Don't you use all the clothes in your closet? Do you always wear the same clothes? Do you feel like your closet is like an unknown dimension where you can't find anything?

If you answered YES this post is for you...

1. Do not hesitate, empty your closet

Dedicate time to your best ally. Take a full day to get all the clothes out of your closet, know what you have and be able to make a clean slate.

2. Organize your clothes into 4 categories

Everything seems chaotic right now, don't worry now the important thing is that you manage to make 4 large groups. Standing in front of the mirror, measure each of your clothes and ask yourself the following questions:

  • It's in good condition?
  • Is it my size?
  • Does it favor me?
  • Is it according to my age, my job, lifestyle and personality?
  • Does the color make me look younger and more radiant?
  • Do I use it frequently?

Once you have answered these questions, you will be able to classify your clothes into these categories.

What you are going to wear: If you answered yes to all the questions, that garment definitely deserves a space in your closet.

What goes away: If you answered NO to any of those questions, this piece is an ideal candidate for a gift or donation.

What is kept : We know that in our closet we keep things with great sentimental value and although we do not use them, we do not want to part with them. Store all those things in a box or trunk so you don't sacrifice space in your closet.

What is going to be reformed : In this category are all those garments that have potential, but for some reason must be reformed: size adjustment, hem, buttons, among others.

3. Type of garment and color

You've already passed the hardest part, now to order! Organize WHAT STAYS by type of garment. Group all your coats and jackets, dresses, skirts, pants, shirts, t-shirts and jackets. Next step, sort by color. We recommend you search for the color wheel on the internet, it will be a great help.

4. ALWAYS ALWAYS use the same hooks

There are specialized hooks for certain garments (skirts and pashminas for example) and made of different materials: plastic, wood or suede. It really doesn't matter which ones you use, just make sure you use the same ones by type of garment . This trick is infallible, it is the easiest way to make your closet look impeccable.

5. Use organizer boxes and vacuum bags

Store in these boxes the clothes that you do not wear frequently , for example clothes for your vacations, for very cold or very hot climates, or for specific occasions such as party dresses.

6. To put away the shoes!

An excellent option to store our shoes and find them quickly is to organize them in transparent boxes . If for some reason you have boxes that are not transparent, mark them on the surface with a shoe feature to easily differentiate them.

Remember, what you have in your closet should only be what you wear and what looks good on you.
